The new BMS website: A guide

Hello and welcome to the new BMS website. While not all the “bells & whistles” are yet installed (hence the getout “beta” caveat), we hope you find the site an easier and more useful experience as someone working in (or indeed just interested in) the world of book marketing.

A few new features we’ve added include:

  • Regular blog – it’s a bit thin on content now, but over the coming weeks we will be looking to add case-studies and guest posts  on topics of interest to members. We also want to feature “snippets” with snaps of poster and online campaigns in action. If you want to propose a blog idea to us, get in touch!
  • Careers section – members are free to upload jobs and browse for others here
  • Newsletter – monthly bulletin, latest blogs and jobs (sign up here)
  • Events – you can now add your own book launches, industry events, and other key campaign dates which might be of interest to others here
  • BMS Awards winners – more facility to showcase winning campaigns, including some of the creativity and other media used, along with comments from judges

As we get the site up to full speed over the coming weeks, we’ll be adding more content (including Case Studies and Features), and will be looking to add our own BMS members and suppliers directory over the summer. Finally, big kudos (and a doffed cap) to Simon Appleby of Bookswarm, who has been more than impressive in helping to bring our website to life with great speed and efficiency. We highly recommend him!
