RSVP for the next BMS Member Meeting

Join us at our members’ meeting on Wednesday 1 November, our final for the year, in a busy session packed with case studies, campaign tips and audience insights, including: 

  • A keynote presentation from Catherine Allen, a BAFTA-winning immersive media specialist who has worked with many major brands including Disney and the BBC; she will give us a critical introduction to the tools and processes involved when working with Virtual Reality technology and take us through some fun and cost-effective applications for VR in book marketing (mindful of book marketing budgets!), weaving in real-world examples and ideas for campaigns spanning fiction, non-fiction and children’s.
  • Announcement of Winners of the BMS Awards for the April-August 2017 season.

Plus a look at highlight campaign moments from January-March 2017, including:

  • Hodder’s Naomi Berwin presenting her campaign for Caraval by Stephanie Garber, featuring animated teaser material, secret covers and great use of Netgalley to build a significant audience for a debut novel.
  • Headline’s Rob Chilver talking us through his award-winning campaign for One Pound Meals by Miguel Barclay, featuring a focus on audience and image testing, key-word analytics and a partnership with Shazam
  • Elke Desanghere and Poppy North from Viking presenting their campaign for Yaa Gyasi’s fiction debut Homegoing: a year-long pre-awareness campaign, great visuals and podcast advertising with a CTR of 8%
